Scenario: To determine if the mean hours of watching TV is 28.5 or not at 5% Level of Significance
Ho: μ hours of watching TV= 28.5
H1: μ hours of watching TV≠ 28.5
- Sample size ≥ 30
From the above tables
- z value: 1.96
- t value: 2.0096
The z and t values are very close to each other
The test statistic (2.76) is > 1.96 ( z-value) and > 2.01 ( t-value) . The null hypothesis is rejected
